Puppy baths can go smoothly if you introduce your puppy to the idea of bath time, keep him fast and shower him with goodies and praise. Curious puppies get dirty and smelly when walking or playing, so let your eyes and nose tell you when it’s time to take a bath.
Let the puppy sniff the bathroom, bath, hair care tools and hair dryer so he can get used to the bath and bathing tools.
Prepare your puppy for a bath by painting his coat with a rubber brush and going through any tangles or mats. Before buying, remove any burrs or other debris from your puppy.
Close the drain from the bath and start filling the bath with warm water, talk or sing the puppy to be calm. Make sure the water is not too hot or too cold.
Place the puppy in the bath and pour warm water on it to moisten his coat. You can use a shower nozzle or pour water on your pet with a jug.
Enjoy dog shampoo, which is specially created for the skin of your pet. Human shampoo does not have the right pH concentration for your dog and can dry out his skin. If desired, use a rubber brush to push the foam into your pet’s fur. Avoid spraying water or shampoo on the eyes. Instead, wash your pet’s face with a washcloth.
Rinse your pet with warm water. Rinse until the puppy is completely soap-free and the water flowing out of his body is clean.

You can wash puppies up to once a week if they need to, but of course you can avoid bathing less often. Wait until your pet is 5 weeks or older before giving him your first bath.
You can wash your puppy in a large plastic tub instead of in the tub. However, large puppies will be too big for that.
